About this policy

Copperfin Plumbing is a fictional business used to demonstrate website building. This policy explains how this demonstration website handles the information you send through it. It is written with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in mind.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we collect:

• your name
• your phone number, email address or both
• your suburb
• the service you need and your description of the problem
• how you'd like us to contact you
• your preferred day or time, if you give one

If you call, WhatsApp or email us, we receive the details you share in that conversation.

The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to check that submissions come from a person and not an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page, and sends it to Google.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, work out what kind of visit it needs and arrange that visit with you. We use the reCAPTCHA check to protect the form from spam. We don't use your information for marketing, and we don't sell it.

Where it goes

When you send the form, your enquiry is saved in the website's enquiry system and a copy is emailed to info@x3web.co.za. The companies that host the website and the mailbox, and Google for reCAPTCHA, process the information on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Records on the website: enquiry records in the website's enquiry system are deleted automatically 30 days after they are submitted.

Copies in our email inbox: each enquiry also creates a notification email in the info@x3web.co.za mailbox. That email is a separate copy. The website's automatic deletion does not reach the mailbox, so deleting the website record does not delete the email. We delete these emails in the mailbox itself, including from its deleted items folder.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@x3web.co.za. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies or use similar technology for its spam check.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
